Quick Start Guide
A short tour of ACT Command, in the order most organizations work through it.
Step 1
Welcome to ACT Command
ACT Command keeps your care-coordination operation in one place: caseloads, deadlines, required activities, documentation, billing readiness, transfers, coverage, and oversight. Sign in, then work from the left-hand navigation.
Enter minimum-necessary operational information only. Do not enter Protected Health Information.
Step 2
Understanding the Command Center
The Command Center is your operational dashboard. It summarizes caseload activity and the items needing attention — support plans due, contacts due or overdue, billing holds, open transfers, and coverage gaps. Select any figure to work through the underlying cases.
Step 3
Organization setup
Settings holds your organization details, edition, plan entitlement, oversight configuration, and billing configuration. Organization Administrators can review the plan and coordinator limit here.
Step 4
Adding and managing coordinators
Agency editions use Staff to add coordinators, record professional details and status, and assign roles. Coordinator counts are subject to your plan's limit.
Step 5
Creating and managing recipients and cases
Recipients holds your case records. Open a recipient to reach the full case view with its tabs — Overview, Intake & Requirements, Timeline, Support Plan, Contacts, Case Notes, Services, Providers, Tasks, Billing, Documents, Changes, Transfers, and Audit.
Step 6
Initial requirements and intake
Use the Intake & Requirements tab on a case to track initial onboarding steps and required activities so nothing is missed at the start of a case.
Step 7
Ongoing contacts and documentation
Log recipient, representative, family, and provider contacts in Contacts or on the case Contacts tab. ACT Command tracks the contact schedule and highlights contacts that are due or overdue, along with documentation gaps.
Step 8
Support plans, amendments, and renewals
Support Plans manages plan cycles, dates, status, amendments, and renewals, and flags plans inside their renewal window so approaching work is visible.
Step 9
Exceptions and follow-up
Tasks collects follow-up work, and exceptions appear on the Command Center and on individual cases. These indicators help you prioritize; they do not replace professional judgment.
Step 10
Billing readiness and holds
Billing shows whether tracked operational prerequisites are in place and identifies billing holds. ACT Command does not submit claims and does not guarantee that a service is billable or payable.
Step 11
Transfers
Transfers & Coverage documents case transfers, transfer status, continuity activities, and related follow-up so responsibility changes stay visible.
Step 12
Backup and coverage
The same area tracks backup coordination and coverage arrangements, so gaps in responsibility can be identified and addressed.
Step 13
Reports and oversight
Reports provides operational summaries, while Quality and Compliance support oversight activities such as scorecards, self-audit, corrective actions, and policy readiness according to your assigned permissions.
Step 14
Getting help
The Help Center holds the full FAQ, these instructions, the Terms of Service, and the Privacy Policy. For anything else, contact support@actcommand.com.
